Have knee pain? Try these home remedies.

Knee pain is a very common problem, this pain can be minor and also chronic knee pain.  In general, minor knee pain does not require treatment, it heals on its own.  Below we can get relief from knee pain by taking some home remedies and precautions.  Some home remedies are like this-

 1 - By improving posture

  •  Keep the following points in mind
  •  Avoid sitting on low and deep chairs.
  •  Wear comfortable shoes.
  •  Do not sit in one place continuously for a long time, but do a little walking for a short time.

2 - Reduce Excess Weight

Excess weight can be responsible for knee pain because the weight of the body causes more pressure on the knee.  Knee pain can be controlled by reducing weight.  By reducing weight, the pain caused by arthritis can be reduced to some extent.

 3 - Eat healthy foods

If you are overweight, then you should avoid eating high fat food, this can increase your weight further.  Exercise regularly and eat a balanced and healthy diet that will not increase your obesity and will also be good for your knees.

4 - Massage

Massage is a good way to get relief from knee pain.  A better solution is to sit quietly and massage your knees.  Note- If you have problems with osteoarthritis (OA) then it should not be massaged because to my knowledge it is not yet clinically certified.  Others can massage for knee pain due to any reason, which is very good for the knee.  You can choose the right workout by consulting an expert.

6 - Take hot and Cold foment

 (i) Foment gives relief in back pain, similarly it is also good for knee pain.  Hot fomentation relaxes muscles. You can also use a bottle of hot water for hot fomentation.  Caution should be exercised when fomenting with hot water.

(ii) Cold compress reduces inflammation.  You can use ice wrap in a cloth to cool it.

5 - Physical activity

Physical activity is very beneficial for us.  Being physically active is great for our knees.  By staying physically active we can avoid Osteoarthritis (OA) to some extent which is one of the main causes of knee pain. With physical activities like yoga, exercise, swimming etc. we can strengthen the knees.

Exercise provides strength to our muscles and bones.
