Joint sprains? Try these home remedies


 Sprains in the joints are very common. In our daily life, during daily work or during sports, we often get sprain into the joints or knees. Knee is the biggest joint of our body. It consists of bones, ligament, cartilage and tendon. There are four ligaments inside the knee, which are a type of flexible and strong tissue that connects the upper leg bone to the lower leg bone. These ligaments stabilize the joint while a person is walking, sitting, or jumping. And it also carries the full weight of our body. Any joint in the body has ligaments between two or more bones that keep the two bones connected together.


 When these ligaments get hurt due to any reason or there is excessive stretching due to which joint pain starts, then this condition is called sprain. There are generally three types of sprains -


1. Light sprain  

2. Medium sprain 

3. Severe sprain


 There can be various reasons for sprains such as injury while playing football, twitching with excessive jerks, or even if normal body weight is excessive, sprains can also occur in normal activity. Let us know which home remedies can be done if a sprain occurs in the joints -



 How to recognize the symptoms of sprain?

 If a sprain occurs in any joint or knee, we can identify by following symptoms -


 Pain.

 Whenever there is a sprain in the knee or any other joint, pain starts.This pain depends on the injury to the ligament. If the sprain is mild then the pain will not be that much and if there is a moderate sprain then there will be more pain than a mild sprain, even it can be difficult to walk. And if the sprain is severe, then the pain will be more, you will not be able to walk, so you should take consult with doctor when a serious sprain occurs.

 Along with the sprain, swelling is usually seen, the more severe the sprain, the greater the swelling.


 Pain on moving the joints.

 The joint in which the sprain occurs, it hurts when it is moved. Even that joint cannot bear the weight. There is difficulty in moving.

 1. Tie a bandage on affected the joint for warming

 If the sprain is light or medium then tie a hot bandage on the joint, it will give some relief.


 2. Take foment with warm Water

 Fomenting with warm water is very effective in reducing swelling and pain of sprains. Heat the water lightly and add a little rock salt to it and take fomenting of the joint with the help of a cloth.


 3. Give relax to joint

 Do not move the joint roughly that sprained, but give it a rest, it will help in healing the sprain quickly.
